چکیده
Electrooxidation of urea plays a substantial role in the elimination urea-containing wastewater and industrial urea. Here, we report electrodeposition nickel hydroxide catalyst on commercial carbon paper (CP) electrodes from dimethyl sulphoxide solvent (Ni(OH)2-DMSO/CP) for electrooxidation under alkaline conditions. The physicochemical features Ni(OH)2-DMSO/CP catalysts using scanning electron microscopy X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed that shows nanoparticle features, with loading <1 wt%. cyclic voltammetry electrochemical impedance electrode has oxidation onset potential 0.33 V vs. Ag/AgCl superior electrocatalytic performance, which is more than 2-fold higher activity comparison counterpart Ni(OH)2 prepared aqueous electrolyte. As expected, enhancement towards was associated superficial enrichment electrochemically active surface area electrodes. results might be promising way to activate efficient transition metal electrocatalysts, uses sustainable energy systems, relieving water contamination.

Adsorption of 4-chlorophenol from aqueous solution using activated carbon synthesized from aloe vera green wastes
In this study, activated carbon synthesized from Aloe vera green wastes was used as a sorbent to remove 4-chlorophenol (4-CP) from aqueous solutions. The influence of contact time (0-100 minutes), pH (2-8), adsorbent dosage (1-9 g/l), and initial 4-CP concentration (10-60 mg/l) in batch system was investigated on the sorption. The sorbent was specified using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). ...
متن کاملRemoval of chromium (VI) from aqueous solution by adsorption using cousinia eryngioides boiss and activated carbon
Adsorption capacity of Cr (VI) onto cousinia eryngioides boiss, activated carbon was investigated in a batch system by considering the effects of various parameters like contact time, initial concentration, pH, temperature, agitation speed, absorbent dose and particle size. Cr (VI) removal is pH dependent and found to be maximum at pH 2.0. The amounts of Cr (VI) adsorbed increased with increase...
متن کاملAdsorption of nitrate from aqueous solution using activated carbon-supported Fe0, Fe2 (SO4)3, and FeSO4
In this laboratory scale study, impregnated almond shell activated carbon was used as adsorbent to investigate its feasibility for nitrate adsorption from aqueous medium. The effects of activated carbon dosage and contact time have been examined in batch experiments. Experimental data show that impregnated activated carbons by Fe0, Fe2 (SO4)3, and FeSO4 were more effective than virgin almond ac...

Adsorption of Copper (II) Ions from Aqueous Solution onto Activated Carbon Prepared from Cane Papyrus
The present study evaluates the suitability ofactivated carbon, prepared from Cane Papyrus, a plant that grows naturally and can be found quite easily, which serves as a biological sorbent for removal of Cu2+ ions from aqueous solutions. Fourier transform infra-red analysis for the activated carbon, prepared fromCane Papyrus confirms the presence of amino (–NH), carbonyl (–C=O), and hydroxyl (...
